Community Projects with Our Objects: free training for community group leaders
This is a one-day workshop for community group leaders who want to bring their clients of all ages to the Horniman to get hands on with thousands of objects from all over the world. This inspiring training takes place in the Hands on Base.
The workshop and free 1-2-1 sessions provide training to run your own fantastic project, including:
- How to handle and care for museum objects
- A practical guide to using the Hands on Base
- Ideas for developing projects with your group
- A tour and introduction to the Horniman, its collections, spaces and Gardens
- Opportunities for networking with other community group leaders
- Next training dates are Saturday 15 October 2011 and Wednesday 22 February 2012.

Handling sessions
Enjoy a special handling session in our Hands on Base, led by one of the Learning team and tailored to the needs of your group. This can be booked directly with our Community Learning team subject to the availability of staff and spaces.
